We've covered the subprime crisis a lot over the past few months but most of our focus has been on the banking sector and how this influences the economy. It's important not to forget though, that there are two sides to each story and just as banks have lost a fortune off these bad mortgages so have hundreds of thousands of individuals who defaulted on their home loans. It is definitely not a simple situation, these loans have been backed by people's houses and many have been forced to leave their homes as a result. It's difficult to determine who is at fault with this whole situation. One thing's for sure, many had to pay the price.
