The more cards the better! Think again. If you are unable to pay for purchases made on one card and do the same for, say four other credit cards, then you have a problem magnified five (5) times. Having more cards cannot change a person’s financial capacity. At best, additional credit limit only provides temporary buying power which should be reckoned with on due date.
Tracking purchases can also be difficult if many cards are being used simultaneously. In fact, the tendency to just spend more and track less increases. Making a habit out of transferring credit card balances to another is not a good idea either. Restricting oneself to one or two cards would be wiser.
