I attended a cell phone exhibit last week and I found myself wandering round the room, not really interested in even approaching the different stands. This is coming from a tech lover. The explanation for this is simple. The phones that were being displayed were actually pretty amazing once I went close to look but from afar, the station did nothing for me.
It is all about first impressions. You do not want the audience to look at your station and yawn; you want them to run over. The Godfrey Group has some pretty amazing methods of getting those people over. For example, their Tabletop Displays will not allow for any boredom while examining your stand. Let your competitors cause the yawning.
