Today's Financial Term of the Day is a Day Order. This refers to an order (whether a buy or a sell) that automatically expires if it is not executed on the day that the order has been made. A day order will not be put in play if the limit or stop order price was not hit for the day. An order that is not limited for the day is typically referred to as a Good Till Cancel order.
