In spite of the various unfortunate stories associated with credit card use, a credit card is actually a good thing. Its nonsensical use builds credit to facilitate its availability when needed. It can also be a literal life-saver in times of emergencies, effectively doing away with tedious credit application when time is not available.
Of course you can easily go way over your head and max out your credit limit. You can even end up purchasing something you don’t even need or unable to pay for. This is what happens when you treat your credit limit as your money. Remember, everything charged on your card has to be paid sooner or later.
