Today's financial term of the day is Calculated Intangible Value or otherwise known as CIV.
This term refers to a particular technique of determining the value of the intangible assets of a company. Calculating the CIV tries to distribute a fixed value to intangible assets that remain unchanged based on the company’s market value. Some examples of intangible assets would include proprietary technology or brand equity.
