Here are some factors that can increase or decrease a property’s market value.
Good location. We’ve heard it said often enough – “location, location, location.” People would pay a premium for strategic areas and places that they find convenient for their daily living.
Poor Maintenance. Over time the wear and tear can take a toll on the house. If the owners have not done anything to fix things that have broken down or needed repair, it will have a significantly negative impact on the buyers.
Bad Floor Plan. Small rooms or bad locations for bathrooms. No provision for storm or typhoon shelters. This can all be detrimental to the value of the house.
