To My Car (RIP)

I hate my car. Okay, it’s not really my car. It’s the stupid insurance company’s replacement car they gave me after my beloved Toyota Camry was completely totaled. But this replacement car is already getting on my nerves and I can’t get a straight answer from my insurance agent as to when I’ll be getting the check that will enable me to get a new car. Of course it won’t be the same, since nothing can replace my old Camry (although getting a brand new Camry may come close). Especially since I think I will only be able to afford a used Toyota and won’t be able to go for a new 2008 model.

I am writing this post as an obituary for my beloved Toyota Camry who actually took its life to save mine. This really is true, since I almost lost my life in the accident and if it wasn’t for the car’s steal frame design I would have been crushed like a worm. When they separated our two cars, you were actually able to see the shape of the side bars through the dents in the door and the metal of the door actually warped around them. If they weren’t there, I doubt whether I would be either.

I had the SE model so the car was pretty comfortable. The seats were leather which I don’t think is standard for this finish level but I bought the car from someone who spent a lot of money in extras. He only drove it for six months before selling and it was practically new. I doubt I will be getting such a deal again and with what the insurance pays me I don’t even know what model I’ll be able to get. But there’s no point in even checking right now until I get things worked out with the insurance company first.
