It looks like once again the Martians have showed us that they know how to do things better than we do. In this case they have come up with a new personalized news service that is showing competing services just how the job is done. Okay, I have no actual proof that the people behind this great service are in fact from Mars but the name of the service (Thoof) kind of suggests that it is. You see, Thoof in Martian actually means news. You can easily see this by logging on to the Martian News Network (or Martian Thoof Network) at MTM.
For those of you who made it through my first paragraph of pure nonsense, good for you! I'm happy I have enough of a reputation for you to stick with me even when my imagination gets the best of me. In any case, the service I mentioned is in fact real and is quite amazing. You see unlike other aggregated news services, Thoof.com takes extra measures to make sure people get just what they want and they know what they are getting. You can easily find articles by categorized tags and any article that you find misleading (the title and description don't properly reflect the article's content) can be edited. Thoof also provides the participating websites with a "Thoof Badge" which displays a metric measuring the interest the website receives from Thoof readers. This is determined by the percentage of people who click on to the site's articles in relation to all users in that particular category. It's worth giving it a shot (even if its creators are mere humans…).
