I’ve come to think of myself as kind of an expert already at booking my trips online. I travel a lot and have developed a steady routine of sites that I visit to book my flights and make hotel reservations. Not that booking a hotel online is too difficult, after all there are numerous sites that are dedicated for just that- booking hotel rooms online. But I kind of got the feel for finding the best deals on each hotel as well as finding the right hotel to stay at for each destination. One of the important things to do is read the reviews provided by various travel sites for each hotel and preferably check out reviews from two or three sites before deciding.
But I am now planning our summer vacation to Hawaii and I’ve come to realize that leisure planning can be a bit different than the business trips I normally book. The main difference is that in Hawaii, most people stay at Hawaiian beach rentals and not traditional hotels. These beach home rentals are popular in Hawaii and other beachfront destinations since they fit the atmosphere and style of vacation that is Hawaii as opposed to a hotel. I found that the traditional travel sites such as Travelocity and Expedia are not quite adequate for these types of Hawaii home rentals so I looked for a site that is dedicated to Hawaii and beach travel.
