Once upon a time there was such as thing as a credit card. You would use it to make purchases without having to carry around large sums of cash. Then came the gold credit cards, they functioned quite like regular credit cards but if you had one in your wallet you were considered a very important person. It felt good…. But alas, soon enough the credit card companies who make money by issuing more cards realized they can sell more by issuing more gold card. So gold became standard and platinum as king. But that didn’t last too long either and platinum became the old gold. So what’s the new platinum? Well I guess with lack of names they are just calling them premium cards. To prevent the erosion that the old “metal” cards went through, card companies are now designating these new cards for people with a minimum of $1,000,000 cash. The thing is, these people already know they are VIP’s do they really need the stupid piece of plastic to reassure them?
