Search engine giant Google announced they are stepping down from their fight against the European Union’s demands regarding the company’s privacy policy and their data collection practices. In an announcement this week the company stated they are changing their data collection policy to limit the storage of their data to 18 months in stead of their previous policy for keeping the data for 30 years. Google collects information from browsers regarding their search history and preferences using cookies stored on their users computers.
