After a very public and colorful duo between Google and online auction giant eBay, it looks like Google threw in their gloves and finally gave in. The company accused eBay of blocking their new online payment system Google Checkout to eBay users as a method for paying for their auction winnings. According to eBay the move is due to the fact that the system is new and untested yet, however Google thinks otherwise and claimed the move was made in order to protect the dominance of eBay owned Paypal. However after eBay fought back with a counter measure of stopping their advertising campaigns on Google, the search engine giant decided to stand down and give up their fight for Google Checkout. Both companies deny the advertisement move had anything to do with their Google Checkout dispute but it is pretty clear who won this match and who shamelessly folded…
