The French government has required all government employees to refrain from using the popular Blackberry phones and email solutions due to possible security vulnerabilities. As all email sent and received through a Blackberry device go through the company’s servers in the U.S., the French government is worried of possible state secrets getting out. Their timing is ironic since just as the French decided to scrutinize their rules against Blackberries in the U.K. they are considering laxing their policy and allowing them into parliament meetings.
