Today's financial term of the day is E-mini (Stock Index Futures).
This is a future contract on the Chicago Merchantile Exchange that is traded electronically and which represents just a part of the normal future contracts. E-mini contracts are now widely available in other indices like the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, Midcap 400 and Russell 2000. The advantage of trading an e-mini contract is that you maintain liquidity and it is more affordable for investors.
If you have any financial terms you wish explained and would like to see them featured on our term of the day section, be sure to send them in and we will be happy to feature them in the coming days.
