We are proud to introduce our new term of the day section here at Credit Card Diva. Our term for today is Abandonment. Abandonment is an act that signifies the surrender of a particular claim or an interest on an asset. In general, corporations would usually signify that it wants to abandon an asset or project if it sees that there can no longer be any profitability in supporting it. Usually, a corporation will have to make the proper legal documents and then file it with authorities. Additionally, any kind of damages to the asset will have to be recovered.
