I’ve come across an article recently criticizing SCORE! educational centers claiming the centers lead to discipline problems among children due to their untraditional disciplinary approach. As a mother to 2 children who attended SCORE! courses as well as private tutoring I am a strong believer in the SCORE! system and believe their unique disciplinary approach is actually one on the keys to their success.
At SCORE!, my daughter was exposed to constant positive reinforcement as opposed to a strict approach and threat of punishments. My daughter had trouble reading and all attempts by her school teacher didn’t help. Through SCORE!’s unique teaching methods and great reading tutors on staff, my daughter not only improved on her reading but also enjoyed her improvement. She got so excited about earning as SCORE! incentive cards for her achievements (which she was able to redeem for prizes awarding her for her success) and gained real confidence in herself as a result.
