It seems lately that everywhere we turn some financial institute or another is offering us to take out a loan. Loan opportunities are a hot topic nowadays and we have devoted a lot of coverage to various types of loans here at Credit Card Diva too.
In most cases we discuss taking out a loan in cases where a real need occurs which we can’t fit in to our daily budget. We’ve discussed situations in which personal loans are suitable and some situations where a secured loan can help. But sometimes just the opportunity of taking out a loan can be quite tempting when considering what we can do with the extra cash. Obviously we don’t encourage you to spend beyond your means and get into unnecessary debt, but there always are those special occasions…. I was thinking today about what I would do if I had a large sum of money to spend right now. There are always the smarter things to do like certain long overdue household maintenance etc. but to be honest I don’t think I would resist the temptation of an indulging vacation to Tahiti. After all, we only live once…..
